Next, we’ll gain access to the pulp of the tooth through the gum. Once we have access, we’ll start to clean the pulp and remove any dead tissue.
Irrigating the pulp with disinfectant can also be done to decrease the likelihood of future infections. After the pulp is properly cleaned, the gum is sealed back up again. Dental crowns are often used to support and strengthen teeth after root canal treatments. You will need to come in for a few visits.
